Meet the Owner
Steve Smith
Steve has always had a love for woodworking and built his own Woodworking Shop in 1999. Specializing in cabinets, home entertainment centers, tables, and other furniture, he specializes in building a custom piece of furniture for your home.
Wanting to get more involved in the construction industry, Steve pursued an education in the Home Inspection industry. In order to get hands on training, rather than correspondence training, he went to school at the only ASHI approved on-site training facility located in Virginia at ITA's (Inspection Training Assoc) Schooll of Inspection.
After passing ITA's certification exam and becoming a member of HomeInspection.Com, Steve wanted national status. He pursued preparation and after taking and passing the National Home Inspector's Exam,he became certified as a National Home Inspector (#MS715461) back in 2004.
The Rest of the Team
While Steve is the owner of Home Check, there are many who are involved in this business. There will also be many sub-contractors involved, depending on the size of your project. However, any business who Home Check sub-contracts with is approved by a hard set of standards by Steve.
